Italian nun took part in the show “VOICE”

The charismatic nun simply shocked the judges and the audience with her performance on the Italian reality show “The Voice”, where she amazingly performed Alisha Keyes's song “No One”.

Sister Cristina, a 25-year-old Catholic church worker from Sicily, performed on the Voice show, an Italian counterpart to the popular American The Voice, stealing the audience’s attention with her fiery hit.

Four judges of the project could not resist curiosity and almost immediately turned to the stage to look at an amazing creature with a beautiful voice.

When they realized who possessed such talent, the judges four opened her mouth in surprise. Meanwhile, the audience in the hall with might and main supported the energetic young sister.

After Kristina finished singing, the jury hastened to find out what was the reason why the priest decided to take part in one of the most popular shows on the Apennine Peninsula. “How did you end up on the“ Voice? ”Project, Raffaella Carrà asked, and she immediately received a response from the performer:“ I have a gift and I give it to you. ”Another jury member, the famous rapper J-Ax in Italy also could not stay away and not comment on the girl’s performance.

“If I could see you during the Mass, I would go to church constantly.” he joked.

The next question that the participant had to answer was: “What will the Vatican think about your performance on national television?” Sister Christina did not hide her hopes and simply answered: “I believe that Pope Francis will call me.” The television audience remained in she was absolutely delighted with the amazing girl, and some even expressed the opinion that her act significantly brought the church closer to the people. Maurizio Rossi turned out to be more restrained in his comments, but after filming he noted that Christina was the strongest of all the participants of the last day.

“I liked the song and it sang just fine. It's 2014, why not a nun take part in such a contest? If she loves to sing, and if she feels great at the same time, it will only benefit her. ”

Giovanni, the owner of a newsstand in Rome, also agreed with the judges and spectators, saying that the presence of a clergyman on such a project was not at all absurd. Moreover, Giovanni added, Christine’s decision to sing on television once again showed that the Catholic Church is actually not so closed. “I think it's great,” the young man said. “This is evidence of aspiration and closeness to the people.” Giuseppe Palozzi, a furniture store employee, couldn't help but support Giovanni. “I did not watch the show, but I know that a nun took part in it. It seems to me that this indicates that the Church is not as conservative as before, perhaps this is the merit of Pope Francis. ”

Meanwhile, Twitter’s microblogging social service literally exploded from the hashtags that filled it with the mark #suorcristina (#sisterkristina), instantly making the nun an Internet star. So, @stefyorlando did not fail to note in his post: “Sister Christina, I remember my spiritual education mentor in high school, Sister Natalia, who was not as sweet as you.” Other users were interested in whether the head of the Holy See contacted the girl: “Does anyone know if @Pontifex_it (Pope Francis official Twitter page) phoned Sister Christina?” @PegasoNero asked.
