Silvio Berlusconi

Biography

Silvio Berlusconi (Silvio Berlusconi) was born on September 29, 1936 in Milan. The family was not rich, but the future prime minister received a good education. He was one of the best students of the Catholic Lyceum, after graduating with honors from the Faculty of Law of the University of Milan.

Business success

Big construction

Silvio Berlusconi's work biography is impressive. He was always attracted to success and prosperity, so he began to work during his studies. I did not disdain any labor, whether it was trading in household goods or performing in a night club.

Berlusconi played the double bass and sang well, often performed on cruise liners. But he gained real experience at Immobiliare costruzioni, a construction company. The construction business has become his main occupation and source of income for the next 20 years.

In 1968, Berlusconi created the Edilnord construction company. I bought cheap land in the vicinity of Milan and built two elite neighborhoods there - Milan-2 and Milan-3.

Above the first of them was the Linate airport air line, but the businessman managed to agree on a change in the route of the aircraft.

After it was built the famous "Sunflower" (Girasole) - the first Italian hypermarket. In 1977 he was awarded the honorary title of "Cavaliere del Lavoro", because of this award he subsequently received the nickname "Cavalier".

Media tycoon

Having conquered the world of the construction business, Berlusconi drew attention to the media field. Most interested in commercial television. His first step in this direction was the purchase of shares in the popular weekly Il Giornale. Then pretty soon the famous Mediaset was formed, which included three television channels (among them the famous Canale 5) and became part of the Fininvest holding. Later, Silvio Berlusconi added some French, German and Spanish television channels to his holding.

The directions of the holding's activities were diverse - a network of supermarkets, insurance companies and much more, but the share of television in the capital of the enterprise was 85%.

Thanks to his passion for commercial television, Silvio Berlusconi took place in the top ten richest Italians and the 118th line of the Forbes rating.

Club "Milan"

Silvio Berlusconi bought the football club Milan in 1984. Then it was a modest club of series B. Bringing his club to a high level was a matter of honor for the magnate. He succeeded. Milan 8 times won the championship of Italy (in 1988, 1992 - 1994, 1996, 1999, 2004, 2011) and 5 times - Champions League (in 1989, 1990, 1994, 2003, 2007). The popularity of Cavallier has reached unprecedented heights, the club fans have become loyal supporters of Berlusconi.

Career politics

The growth of a political career began thanks to football victories, the owner of the club became a real hero of the republic. In 1994, Berlusconi founded the Forward Italy! Party (Forza Italia) and was elected Prime Minister of Italy. The victory was brilliant and unexpected, but the newly-made prime minister did not have time to take advantage of it - the government retired without having worked for a year.

He returned to the prime minister’s chair three times - in 2001, 2005 and 2008.

His government activities are assessed controversially, often accused of economic downturns (the last premiership was in the crisis). Foreign policy also raised many questions - European colleagues did not approve of friendship with Russia and agreements with Libya.

Friend Vladimir

Silvio Berlusconi's best friend among leaders of other states recognized Russian President Vladimir Putin. Their meetings were always warm, the Prime Minister of Italy, recalling his youth, even sang for the Russian leader. In 2013, Putin paid a private visit to his Italian friend, who was at that time retired and under a court sentence.

Cavalier and his women

The theme “Silvio Berlusconi and his women” is keenly interested not only in Italy, but the whole world. Berlusconi was a rare lover of youth, and age and career successes reinforced this quality many times over. The biography of the premiere is reminiscent of a long romance with many characters.

Two spouses - Carla Dall Ollo (Carla Dell'Oglio) and Veronica Lario (Veronica Lario) - do not count, most of all the public was worried about extramarital affairs.

News was full of messages about love affairs Silvio Berlusconi. The magnate had something to please his beauties - someone got a place on television, and the luckiest ones - in the cabinet. Fashion model Mara Carfagnia became the Minister of Equal Opportunities in his government, and dentist Nicole Minetti became a member of the Lombard Parliament.

The Italian prime minister showed to his beloved the generosity of the eastern ruler. Five-figure diamond jewelry and checks were the usual reward for participating in fun gatherings in his villa. Ladies often paid black ingratitude. Patricia D'Addario wrote a scandalous book, “At your service, Mr. Prime Minister,” and Montenegrin model Katarina Knezevic blackmailed him with videos from parties at Villa Certosa.

But most of all the troubles of politics brought the native of Morocco Karima El-Marug (Karima El Mahroug), nicknamed the Ruby heartbreaker (Ruby).

Unfortunately, the girl was underage. According to the majority, Berlusconi did not know exactly her age, but there was a reason to charge him. Ruby was in Italy illegally, which complicated the situation. Cavalier was threatened with a seven-year prison sentence; he obtained justification only after an appeal. Ruby was an escort employee, it is assumed that she provided appropriate services to the guests of Berlusconi.

The most faithful of the girlfriends of the charming Italian was the Voronezh model Raisa Skorkina. She sincerely considered the “dear Silvio” a generous and attractive man, said that he often called her and sang wonderfully into the phone.

Raisa said that the girls of the prime minister, including Ruby, unusually insolently use his kindness, arrange a life only thanks to a short-term relationship with him. Raisa Skorkina, commenting on the scandal with Ruby for the press, claimed that Berlusconi was not to blame, as she was misled about her age, because the slutty Moroccan looked over 18 years old. Ruby's biography abounded in relations with wealthy men before, but the Italian Prime Minister was not particularly lucky with her.

The last (hopefully) love of Silvio Berlusconi is Neapolitan Francesca Pascale, girlfriend of his daughter Marina (Marina Berlusconi), who has been in love with him since childhood. According to Cavallier, Francesca gave him "faith in selfless female love."

Interesting facts, jokes, scandals

  • Berlusconi was elected prime minister four times, the first time his party won 43% of the vote. This is an absolute record for Italy. Only Benito Mussolini and Giovanni Giolitti were in power for longer.
  • Passed by the accused in various cases more than 50 times - also a record for a politician. Among the criminal exploits of the most charismatic prime minister are bribery, major fraud, sexual relations with minors and tax evasion. According to the last of the charges, he was sentenced to a year of community service in a nursing home. He claimed that he liked serving his sentence.
  • Characterized by spontaneity and a risky sense of humor - a joke about Obama’s tan and horns above the head of the Spanish prime minister in the general photo are proof of this.
  • Known for a reverent attitude to his appearance. Small growth (165 cm) compensates for a good athletic form, made several plastic surgeries. Raisa Skorkina considered a high-ranking lover "beautiful and pumped up."
  • Silvio Berlusconi happened to be the victim of a psychopath attack. Resident of Milan Massimo Tartaglia (Massimo Tartaglia) launched in his face a souvenir copy of the Duomo Cathedral (Duomo di Milano), breaking his nose and splitting his teeth.
  • News about the parties at Villa Certosa caused an unprecedented stir. Berlusconi received friends and leaders of other countries there, the provision of intimate services was part of his hospitality. Once the paparazzi was very lucky - the naked secret Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Mirek Topolanek became the hero of the secretly taken picture.

Spartacus Rebellion - Issue 3

In a previous issue, Spartak and company showed the Praetorian army that flimsy militia was no match for the hungry and evil gladiators-climbers, but in Rome they were saddened and appointed the next person in charge of liquidating the unrest in the south. They became Praetor Publius Varius.
