Flea market in Navigli

Every last Sunday of the month in the Milan area of Navigli, a traditional antique flea market takes place, an analogue of the Roman Porte Portez. Lovers of junk and antiquities, as well as collectors will find here hundreds of items of useful and not very things that have not been needed by most modern people for a long time.

It will be interesting to visit the market with children, if only to show them what a disk telephone or a device for opening envelopes looked like. The market in Navigli is an immersion in history, as well as the opportunity to find some unique souvenir to commemorate a visit to Milan.

Tents are set up every Sunday from 08:00 to 18:00 on Ripa di Porta Ticinese and Alzaia Naviglio Grande along the canal.

In the evening, dozens of bars and restaurants open here, on the map with the naked eye it can be seen that their concentration here is off the scale. The nearest metro station, Porta Genova, is about 15 minutes from Duomo di Milano, and you walk about half an hour on foot.

In an hour we went around about a third of the tents. I hope my photo report will help you to get an idea about this atmospheric place. Let's start virtual shopping.

Please be sure to share your thoughts in the comments to the article - do you need such things, what would you do with them, how and where to apply?

Vintage Gucci handbags of collections from about 10-20 years ago are in the range of 350-500 euros, and Louis Vuitton from 650 to 900 euros.

Badge collectors will be able to replenish the collection. By the way, Soviet badges with Lenin and the Komsomol are also quoted here.

There are military cartridges, belts, orders - basically, all German or American.

Continuing the military theme, we move on to the choice of knives.

Tools for barbers and hairdressers - after all, even ordinary scissors were bent on the design before.

Paintings and reproductions of half a century ago.

But just those same disk phones. I wonder if the generation of the 21st century will guess, if necessary, how to dial a number on such an aggregate?
Such phones are often bought by the owners of bars and restaurants as an element of the interior.

Even when not in use, radios from the last century look super stylish.

Let's move on to the potential elements of cluttering and decorating housing. How would you use a gilded crocodile's mouth?

Such a finger, only one hundred times larger, is installed in the La Defense district of Paris. And so he would have looked cool in a manicure salon.

Ceramic figures, I don’t even know what to do with them?

I would simply buy a pipe because it is beautiful.

I’m already thinking of acquiring such a gorilla. Put it in front of the house, will cause a smile among the guests.

I also liked the knight's outfit, but so far there are no ideas where to put it.

If there is a banker friend, then you can give him Uncle Scrooge - the gift is very original, he would not refuse.

More and more often in Europe I meet specialized stores with toys for collectors. It turns out that fairly adult men and sometimes girls are fond of this hobby. Cars, pistols, soldiers - all this is a huge choice in the flea market.

It has become very fashionable to use non-standard lamps in the interior, especially since the choice of modern lamps allows you to beat any idea. The official website www.musellioggettistica.com presents models in the style from the 1910s to the 1980s.
You can also look at their @muselliofficineluce instagram for inspiration.

We pass to the tents with decorations. Unusual chains and rings for every taste - everything costs from 5 to 25 euros.

The use of these trinkets is difficult to come up with, just beautiful and original things.

Silver dishes and various kitchen utensils.

Jewelry made of silver.

Photographers and designers have the opportunity to find rare albums and books on the craft.

You can even buy a stuffed crab!

Milan is the world capital of fashion. For fashion history learners and designers on the market, clothing designs may be of interest. Moreover, the trends are repeated.

Cinema chairs, by the way, are very comfortable.

Alchemists and perfumers can be purchased with the necessary packaging.

Domenica del Corriere (Sunday Courier) was an Italian weekly newspaper that ran from 1899 to 1989, which was distributed free of charge to subscribers of the Corriere della Sera (Evening Courier), and was sold for 10 centimesimi. She did not think like an information publication, so as not to be a duplicate of everyday life. She was considered the "weekly Italians." She had to celebrate like a calendar, their happy days, tragedies, small and big facts. The first and last cover has always been drawn.

Now Domenica del Corriere is of interest to collectors and is sold at 10 euros per room. There are issues even more than 100 years ago.

Connoisseurs of vinyl can find albums of almost all famous artists of the 70-80s of the last century. The cost of the plate in good condition in the range from 15 to 20 euros.

Do you like the walk? Have you been to flea markets? What do you usually buy there? Share your thoughts in the comments.
